A Letter From David Stern: 'Where Amazing Happens' Apparently Doesn't Include Dallas

Mike Fisher -- DB.com

Here's a personal letter from David Stern to you, complete with a handful of painfully earnest "Where Amazing Happens'' video teases ... with only one problem: Three videos, lots of stars, lots of "anticipation,'' "hard work,'' "new faces and new places'' and "amazing'' ... but where are the Mavs?
I know, I know. I'm being too sensitive. So enjoy Commissioner Stern's lovely letter to you ... and then your videos. ... and then the semi-official pronouncement from the NBA that "Where Amazing Happens'' doesn't much happen in Dallas:

From David Stern,
Dear Fan,
I hope you are looking forward to what promises to be an exciting NBA season. The players worked tirelessly this summer in preparation for the coming year, and many teams revamped their rosters with draft picks, trades, and free-agent signings. I am certain that you will be treated to great competition night in and night out as the season unfolds. It will be intriguing to see which team is able to combine extraordinary skill and determination with the right chemistry to take home The Larry O'Brien Trophy next June.
The action tips off next Tuesday, Oct. 27, with four days of alternating doubleheaders on TNT and ESPN. Opening night on TNT features Cleveland hosting Boston and a matchup between the Lakers and the Clippers. I will be in Los Angeles to hand out the Lakers' championship rings prior to the game. In anticipation of the start of the season, I'm pleased to provide you with an exclusive preview of this year's Where amazing happens campaign. Click the links below to view:

Enjoy the season!
