Our Lucky 13 Mavs Ticket Giveaway: Your Letters

Mike Fisher -- DB.com

A dad in town from India. An 8-year-old attending his first Mavs game. Screams of joy at the ticket window. A baby girl who “misses Dirk.’’ Close-up looks at the Mavs camaraderie. A couple's anniversary present to each other.

The reviews of the DallasBasketball.com “Lucky 13’’ ticket giveaway are rolling in. A bunch of the passes we gave away courtesy of The DB.com Store turned out to be platinum-level … super seats … and I thought you might want to read a sampling of the emails I’m getting from Mavs fans just like you who had a blast at the game:

From Sarah

Everyone within 50-yards of the Will Call window heard my screams for joy when I realized our tickets were first row Platinum-Level seats. The seats were excellent! We enjoyed watching every minute of the game!

I'm one of those die heart fans who enjoys preseason games as much as regular season because you get a chance to see how the bench will be able to contribute. … I am super excited for this season!

From Brandolon

I went to the game last night and had a great time. The seats were great and my buddy got to go to his first mavs game. Can't thank you enough for a great competition, great idea, and great website! Hope you're having a great day and thanks for the hard work.

From Timothy
Just wanted to let you know that I had an awesome time last night, those seats were awesome!

From Ryan

Thank you so much for the tickets. My wife and I enjoyed the game greatly! The tickets were for section 220 in the platinum level seating. Great view of the court and the new jumbotron looked amazing! I look forward to reading more Maverick coverage as the year goes on (and less Cowboys). Thanks again!

From John

Probably one of the best things to see, besides the Mavs Dancers, was the camaraderie between the players. From shots to Dirk, Jet, and Singleton beaming big smiles to some candid glances of the Marion joking with everyone on the Mavs bench all on the big screens; it makes you feel good as a fan to see such harmony amongst our team. That can only translate to good things on the court as it will prevent doubt and frustrations from creeping in.

I do want to Thank You again for a great seat to a great night with our great Mavs! You guys do a phenomenal job of covering the Mavs in a very Fan Friendly and informative way. Please keep up the good work for us all out here. You keep writing them, I'll keep reading them!

PS: My daughter Evelyn is a big Mavs fan too. She recognizes Dirk on TV and always says "Hi Dirk! I miss you Dirk!"

From Rodrigo

That was the most fun I’ve ever had on a Monday!

From Madhav

I took my dad who is visiting me here from India to his first game. He enjoyed it too! The HD video screens look awesome. I enjoy reading DallasBasketball.com daily. Keep up the good work!

From Joe

Thanks again for the tickets. We had a blast, kind of belated anniversary celebration for my wife and I. The tickets were awesome, Platinum level. The new score boards looks amazing, love the new HD screen. … Thanks again for the great tickets and DallasBasketball.com. You guys are great!

From Matthew

It was a great night and a great surprise for an 8 year old on a school night.  The tickets were a great freebie, the fact that they were platinum level tickets was a real gift.  Although a great way for an 8 year old to start his AAC experience, it did set the bar high for Dad and future games.  (I don’t mind that though- gives me cover with mom).

Quote of the night- When we walked into the platinum level restroom for the first time (see souvenir cup reference below) Jake said, “Now I know why these tickets are so expensive, this is a really nice restroom!”

 Bag of Cracker Jacks- $3.50

Hot Dog, Fries and a Souvenir Cup Soda- $11

Two Platinum Level Tickets to a Mavs game- $250 value

Taking my son to his first Mavericks game, as a surprise, on a school night, with great FREE tickets from DallasBasketball.com – Priceless!

Priceless indeed. Thanks so much to everyone who participated – I received almost 500 ticket requests in less than four hours – and thanks to all for being a part of DallasBasketball.com!

Oh, and one more thing: Maybe with a tie-in to The DB.com Store and defintely with a tie-in to the Mavs, I’ve GOT to do this again!
